Accessibility statement
Established: 9 October 2026
1. A voluntary statement
GovToDate is published by a micro-enterprise. Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services exempts micro-enterprises providing services from its accessibility requirements (Article 4(5)). We publish this statement anyway, because the service is for everyone and everyone should be able to see what has been checked and what has not.
2. Conformance status
The site has not been audited against WCAG 2.1 (or the French RGAA) by an independent auditor. We therefore claim no level of conformance.
3. What we check
- Every public page is checked automatically with axe-core against the WCAG 2.1 level A and AA rules the tool can test, on every change to the site. The first check, on 9 October 2026, found insufficient text contrast, four drop-down lists without a label and one link told apart by colour alone; these were fixed and the check now finds no errors.
- Pages display without sideways scrolling on a phone (390 px), a tablet (768 px) and a tablet in landscape (1024 px).
- Animations are turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The interface is available in 27 languages; Arabic, Persian and Hebrew display right to left.
4. Known limitations
- An automated check covers only part of the criteria: whether alternative text is meaningful, reading order, or full keyboard use cannot be judged by a machine.
- The site has not yet been tested with a screen reader.
- Signed-in pages (feed, alerts, research, account) are not included in the automated check.
- The official documents we link to are published by third parties; their accessibility is outside our control.
5. Tell us about a problem
If you cannot reach some content or a feature, write to contact@govtodate.com describing the page and the difficulty. We will try to give you the information in another form and to fix the problem.
